ICAN 2020 has been cancelled

UPDATE March 25, 2020

Pastel Artists.CA is committed to provide artistic opportunities to our members. These opportunities include our Annual Purely Pastel exhibition as well as what has become a regular biennial event, our ICAN conference.

Unfortunately, given the current world health crisis, these types of activities must be curtailed. PAC’s executive and management team has made the difficult decision to cancel ICAN2020 and change the format of our annual Purely Pastel exhibition.

The exhibition will now be an online event.  There are some details that the exhibition team must rework such as extending the submission deadline and other methods of promoting our members’ work.  More information will be provided in the near future, but the submission process is still open and awaiting your entries!

With ICAN2020 being cancelled, the management team will continue to look for ways to provide learning opportunities for our members. These opportunities will either be online or scheduled for later in the year when it is safe for members to attend.

This is a disappointing development as this is a very popular event and a fantastic opportunity to learn and meet our fellow artists. As well, a lot of hard work has already been put into arranging the instructors, sessions and facility. But the safety, health and well being of everyone must be our highest priority in this difficult time.

The exhibition is now online only and has updated dates. The show will be posted online by June 1, 2020.   Click here to see Call for Entry
