Growing up in Ottawa, Ontario, Donna created art in one form or another for as long as she can remember. After a career as a Registered Nurse, she enrolled in Graphic Design at Algonquin College, winning numerous awards and graduated top student in her class. She was employed as a graphic designer and illustrator in Ottawa for over ten years. After her husband’s retirement in 2006, they moved to Vancouver Island and now reside in Qualicum Beach, BC.

Donna is a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA) and of Pastel Artists Canada (PAC). She loves working primarily in soft pastel, always striving to be true to her subjects, inspired by mood, colour, textures and light. She also enjoys life drawing, printing monotypes and plein-air painting during the dry months of summer.
